I kicked off my journey as a wannabe thespian in school plays, convinced I was destined for the stage. But alongside my dramatic ambitions, I was (and still am) a die-hard language nerd – teaching myself to read Cyrillic for fun and always on the hunt for the latest slang to add to my glossaries!

After earning a distinction in my MA in Audiovisual Translation, I set off to Brazil, and spent the next seven years dipping in and out of digital nomadism – always returning to my beloved hometown of London.

During that time, I threw myself into audiovisual translation, working in real-time on big projects like Roland Garros, the MTV Awards, the FIFA Women's World Cup, and live shows like Victoria’s Secret and Miss World. Years of working on fast-paced, high-pressure productions have made me a go-to for quick turnarounds without compromising quality.

I also became a regular voice artist for Sylvanian Families characters, and six years ago, came full circle by becoming an associate lecturer in Audiovisual Translation at a leading UK university.

These days, I work with some of the world's biggest streaming platforms and independent filmmakers, ensuring content is localised and accessible to the highest standard. I'm fully up to date with the latest industry guidelines and tools - and when it comes to handling content, I know that security and confidentiality aren't optional; they're non-negotiable.

Recently, I’ve focused on accessibility, running SDH workshops for industry professionals and exploring live event captioning. As a proud member of Subtle and ATAA, the professional subtitlers' association, I stay on top of industry trends and am proficient in three professional subtitling software.

I learned languages to personally connect with as many people as possible - whether travelling or not. And I got into audiovisual translation for that very same reason. To connect people to works of art.
